We’re a little over 6 weeks post-nosectomy and Gorgeous is doing great.

He still has a runny nose sometimes to different degrees. Just runny, not goopy. Often, when he first wakes up in the morning, and sometimes from a nap, he sneezes and then has a little bit of a bloody nose. Not a gusher or anything. Just a little blood.

We try to keep the humidity over 30%. That seems to minimize his bloody nose, but it doesn’t eliminate it completely. But to be clear, it’s just that first sneezing thing, then it goes away. And it’s not every time he wakes up. It was for a while.

For those of you who don’t know the backstory on Gorgeous, he is a formerly feral cat. He would come inside, but he used to freak out if we closed the door while he was in. Now he’s so happy with being inside! He doesn’t even make a move for the door when we’re going in and out.

I’ll post more about his recovery soon. For now, here are a couple of pictures of him napping the other night.
